For whom ?
Children from 6 years old *

(*) Children and young adolescents must be accompanied by their parents.
By who?
A team specially trained in Therapeutic Patient Education and asthma:
- a pneumologist
- two nurse specialists
- an assistant
- on demand a psychologist, physiotherapist or dietician.
Why?
- Frequent and complex pathology
- Strengthen and complete the care of the attending physician
- Helping asthmatics improve their skills
- Know how to better manage the disease
- Improve (or maintain) quality of life
What is the content of the sessions?
- Initial in-depth interview
- A comprehensive program for children and young adolescents that addresses all asthma topics.
- Personalized program (adults and older teenagers) of several specific sessions
- Specific sessions either in groups or individually
Session topics: signs, mechanisms, drugs and use, triggers, environment, activities and prevention.
What methods?
- Sessions composed of workshops, activities or fun and interactive animations
- Various tools: posters, fictitious models, cards, games, educational dolls, demonstrations, role-playing, training, films, computers, video, etc. etc.
At what frequency ?
- 6 sessions of 2h30 for the children every 2 weeks (4 sessions of 1h30 of specific training for the parents of the children and young teenagers in care).
- Personalized program for adults

Tuesday afternoon sessions from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm (by appointment)
